Tapping for lung health (EFT)

Tapping, also know as EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique), is a self-soothing coping strategy that you can learn to help you reduce stress levels and develop emotional regulation.

EFT or 'tapping' is a type of therapy that involves tapping on points of the head, upper body and hands. It has been used in NHS services and NHS treatment centres across the country and is related to EMDR therapy. There is evidence to suggest that EFT may help people with chronic conditions make sense of their life stories and lived experiences.

Our four week course of online workshops for people with lung conditions will seek to improve your personal relationship with your illness, enhance your quality of life by regulating your physiological nervous system and promote personal emotional management regarding your condition. You can also take this tool further to combat deeper issues mentally, emotionally and physically to promote mental health stability.

Each week, you will be able to share your experiences, ask questions and refine your personal use of EFT with the aim of incorporating this into your daily lives to foster a positive association with breathing and your own lung condition.

These online sessions start Monday 9th September, 2pm - 3pm but places are limited.
