Construction workers in the UK are 100 times more likely to die from an occupational disease than a workplace accident. We’re working with the construction industry to address this pressing issue and protect construction workers’ lungs. From providing onsite lung testing and health resources, to raising awareness of our fantastic helpline and support groups, we raise awareness of lung health amongst the construction industry and support staff living with lung conditions. 

1 in 5 people will experience a lung condition in their lifetime. The UK professional services sector is the largest in Europe, meaning a significant number of the workforce will, unfortunately, experience a lung condition in their lifetime. We work in partnership with the professional services industry to raise awareness of the problem and the support we offer. From company-wide fundraisers with financial companies, to enriching health advice and customer support for health insurers, our multifaceted approach to professional services helps us to spread our message and support for those with lung conditions.

Research and innovation plays a key part in the development and execution of lung health research. We strive to work with the tech industry to develop transformational projects and technology to help us in the fight for earlier diagnosis, better research and better treatment. (Develop slightly? Hard one to encompass the whole sector). 

Many people with lung conditions are isolated from their community, are reliant on medical devices which depend on a stable supply of energy, and find that their symptoms are exacerbated during the winter months. This leaves them extremely vulnerable in the event of power outages. We want to work with companies in the utilities sector to ensure that your customers are aware of the additional services available to them, for example the Priority Services Register, and to up skill your vulnerability teams so that they are well-equipped to handle inquiries for customers with lung conditions. 

Nearly half of people with a lung condition are physically inactive. We’re working with the health and fitness industry to break down the barriers of being active and help share the joy of movement with everyone who struggles to breathe.

Pharmacies are playing an ever-increasing role in looking after the needs of people with lung conditions. We can work with you to upskill your pharmacists, improve your asthma services and provide vital health information for your customers.
