Poor access to care, a reliance on reliever (rather than preventer) medication and the absence of a new delivery plan, has left Wales with some of the worst asthma outcomes in Europe. Two thirds of asthma deaths are preventable with better basic care.
We’re calling on the Welsh Government to develop a Respiratory Disease Improvement Plan and make asthma a priority.
