About the event
Brace yourself for a fast-paced and physically challenging adventure, as you take on the three highest peaks in England, Scotland and Wales. Considered one of Britain’s toughest outdoor challenges, the National 3 Peaks Challenge takes in the dizzy heights of Ben Nevis (1,344m), Scafell Pike (978m) and Snowdon (Yr Wyddfa) (1,085m).
Over the course of two days, you will trek around 26 miles and ascend to a total height of almost 3,000m. This is a tough challenge which requires a good level of fitness but your hard work will be rewarded with spectacular views and a huge sense of achievement!

Itinerary
Day 1 - Travel to Fort William in Scotland for the first night's accommodation, including a challenge safety briefing.
Day 2 - An early start to tackle Ben Nevis over 6+ hours, rewarded with incredible views at the top. Once back at the bottom you'll travel to Wasdale Head for the ascent of Scafell Pike. Once you've reached the summit of the highest mountain in England you'll descend in darkness before trying to catch some sleep on the drive to Snowdonia.
Day 3 - Another early start to tackle the last peak and there is a final push to the summit of Snowdon. Snowdon and its surrounding peaks are some of the most beautiful in the UK and from the elevated viewpoint you can take in the surrounding lakes and, weather permitting, some of the most extensive views in the British Isles. Resting at the top you have time for some group photos and impromptu celebrations before heading back to the minibus for the drive back to Chester.
