Effective prevention of lung conditions will transform the population’s health and the lives of millions of people who won’t have to fight for every single breath.

We’re calling for:

  • £10million multi-year investment to understand environmental drivers of lung disease and the impact of air pollution on lung health.
  • Research that aims to better understand the lung microbiome and how this could potentially be used to prevent the development of lung conditions.
  • Greater investment into technologies which can detect disease much earlier, such as the lung-on-a-chip platform, which will allow us to better understand the causes of lung conditions.
